Preview, Descriptions & Inspection

Item photographs and descriptions are provided as a best-effort representation of each item; however, they may contain errors or omissions. Grit Auctions uses AI-assisted tools to help generate certain item descriptions, and those tools may occasionally identify features or specifications incorrectly—for example, describing an item as hydraulic when it does not have that function.

Buyers are responsible for reviewing all photographs carefully to confirm that an item meets their expectations. Please attend the scheduled preview times or call/text Grit Auctions at 719-755-2839 with questions before bidding.

As-Is, Where-Is / Final Sale

All items are sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS, with no warranties, guarantees, returns, refunds, exchanges, or replacements.

Grit Auctions makes no representation or guarantee regarding an item’s completeness, condition, operating status, functionality, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, specifications, accessories, or suitability for buyer’s intended use. All sales are final.

By bidding, buyers acknowledge they have had the opportunity to inspect the item and accept it in its current condition.

Scheduled Removal Only

All purchased items must be removed during the scheduled loadout dates and times listed for this auction.

There will be no access to the building after the scheduled loadout period ends. It is the winning bidder’s sole responsibility to arrange for pickup and remove all purchased items during the designated timeframe.

Items not removed during the scheduled loadout period may be deemed abandoned, forfeited, and disposed of or resold at Grit Auctions’ discretion, with no refund or credit issued.

Forklift & Buyer Loading Responsibilities

A forklift will be available on-site to assist with loading large items that require forklift handling.

For items that do not require forklift loading, removal is entirely the buyer’s responsibility. Buyers must bring appropriate help, tools, dollies, hand trucks, carts, straps, boxes, and other equipment needed to safely remove their purchases.

If you purchase a bulk lot, please bring boxes, crates, totes, or other suitable packaging to collect and transport all items in the lot.

Grit Auctions is not responsible for damage occurring during loading, removal, transport, or after pickup. We reserve the right to refuse loading assistance when a vehicle, trailer, or loading situation is unsafe.

• Schedule Your Removal Appointment Time On Your Invoice Page Located On Your Bidder Dashboard Where It Says "Manage Invoice" - If Trying To Do This On Your Cell Phone You May Have To Turn Your Phone Sideways To See It
• IF YOU CANNOT MAKE THE REMOVAL DATES THEN DO NOT BID!!! or IF YOU WOULD LIKE AN ALTERNATE LOAD OUT DATE READ THE INFORMATION ON THE REMOVAL PAGE. ALL LOADOUTS OUTSIDE OF THE SCHEDULED LOADOUT DAYS WILL INCUR A FEE UNLESS IT WAS DISCUSSED BEFORE THE AUCTION ENDS. LARGE SPECIALTY ITEMS LIKE CONTAINERS, HOMES, Etc. Are Exempt From This As They Require Special Load Out Arrangements. Additionally, Containers, Homes, Pods and Other Large Items Will Be Set Up For An Alternate Load Out Day & Time Due To The Time and Undertaking For Their Loadout. Typically, This Is Done After Normal Load Out Days.
• On Removal Days It Is Extremely Busy So Messages Will Probably Not Be Returned Quickly or Until The Evening. Please Ask Any Questions About Directions, Invoices, Load Out Procedures, Etc The Night After The Auction Or During Invoice Pick Day Between the Auction End and Load Out Day. Be Patient While We Work Through Messages and NO YOU MAY NOT LOAD OUT DURING INVOICE PICK DAY. To Many People Have Shown Up Randomly or Request This And It Interferes With Our Schedule. ONLY THE LISTED DATES AND TIMES LISTED ARE AVAILABLE FOR LOAD OUTS. LATER DATES CAN BE ARRANGED AS MENTIONED  
• If Not Paying With A Card It Takes Awhile To Update All The Lots & Invoices To Remove The Fees, But It Will Eventually Be Done And Before Your Removal Appointment - You Will Need To Re-Download Your Invoice Later the Next Day Following The Auction For An Updated Invoice.
• Bring Proper Equipment For Your Items- Such As Appropriate Size Trailers & Vehicles. Bring Any Equipment & Materials For Load Out Such As Pallets, Straps, Shoring, Padding, Etc. We Provide Load Out Assistance As A Courtesy And Appreciation To Our Customers, However it is Not Guaranteed. Extra Load Out Requests and Stacking on Trailer May Be Denied.  
• Under $2k Invoice Can Be Paid Online By You, On Your Invoice Page
• Over $2k Invoice Must Be Paid By Cash, Cashiers Check, Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, Wire (Plus $20 Charge), Messenger Pay
• If Sales Tax Exempt, You Must Submit The Correct Documents  Within Two (2) Hours Of The Auction Closing - No Tax Forms or Cards Will Be Accepted At Load Out. The Name On The Invoice Must Match The Name On The Tax Exempt Paperwork.
• No Invoice Adjustments At Load Out For Failure To Submit Documents Previously Or Failure To Notify Method Of Alternate Payment
• All Bids and Sales Are Final! Absolutely NO REFUNDS FOR ANY REASON!!! 
• If You Fail To Pay For The Full Amount Of Your Items Before The Last Regularly Scheduled Load Out Day Your Items Will Be Re-Sold and Your Account Will Be Locked
• If You Fail To Remove Your Items By The End Of The Regular Load Out Days Your Items May Be Sold Regardless Of Payment or Subject to Storage Fees Unless Previously Arranged

Nationwide shipping is available for this auction. Refer To Shipping Page. Quote Requests Must Be Made At Least Two Business Days Before Auction Closing. All Invoices Must Be Paid Before Scheduling A Shipment.

• Inspection Period - By Appointment Only - Text, Email or Call to Schedule a Day & Time. Same Day Appointments and Weekends are not available. Please do not wait until the day before closing to schedule an inspection appointment.

Removal / Load-Out

• Load-Out is by scheduled appointment by you only! Appointment Schedule Will Not Appear On Your Invoice Page Until All Lots In The Auction Have Closed. To schedule appointment: 1) review your online invoice → 2) go to Manage Invoice (if looking on phone, may need to "slide screen left" or "turn your phone sideways) → 3) set removal appointment.
• No walk-ins!
• Pickup extensions (past regular load out days) are available but must be communicated within 3 days of closing. See the "Removal Info" tab for information on this.
• DO NOT WAIT TO SCHEDULE if you are wanting a Sunday or Late Evening Load Out. Those Appointments Go Fast and It's First Come First Serve for Scheduling. Once They Are All Filled That is it. Do Not Ask Us To Squeeze You In or Call Us Saying That Is The Only Time You Can Pick Up. If it is then we kindly ask you to not bid in this auction as squeezing people in and trying to put more appointments in has caused others to wait longer so we will not be doing anymore favors even if it's just one small item or "you didn't know". Either stay up and schedule an appointment when the auction has ended or don't complain when you try and schedule the next morning and all the appointments are filled.
• Forklift assistance is provided as a courtesy. Buyer is responsible for securing loads. Mother Road Auctions & Sales is not responsible for any damage sustained during load outs to auction items, vehicles, trailers, etc.

Payment

Invoices under $2,000: Credit card accepted as well as cash, cashier's check, venmo(Friend to Friend Only), cash app & zelle (Buyers can process credit card payments themselves under "Manage Invoice").

Invoices over $2,000: Will have non-cash processing fees removed within 24 hours. Invoices must be paid by cashier’s check, cash, venmo(Friend to Friend ONLY), cash app, zelle or wire(+$20 wire fee) (Please message for wire instructions).

Cashier's Checks Must Be Made Out to: Mother Road Auctions & Sales! No Exceptions! If made out to anyone else, you will not be able to check out!

Bidder MUST communicate by the next day of auction close on payment type preference or process your own card.

• If no communication is made, Seller may charge the payment method on file. Additionally, if there has been no communication from the buyer by the first load out day in regard to payment or a removal appointment is not made then we reserve the right to sell your items by placing them on the No-Show Board in the office for immediate cash purchase. If you bid on an item regardless of time of bid or circumstances it is your responsibility to manage payment and removal of your items.

All invoices will include sales tax at auction close.

After closing, bidder must message Mother Road Auctions & Sales and submit a valid sales tax exemption form to have invoices updated. Even if we have your exemption form on file, it is the bidder’s responsibility to request exemption after each auction. Forms must match the bidder of record. Buyer Responsibilities

• Inspect before bidding.
• If sending a third party, they must bring your invoice and bidder ID information.
• Damage or theft after auction close is buyer’s responsibility.
• Failure to pay or remove items withing the listed time frames, will result in forfeiture of items, account suspension and possible legal action. We are tired of the no show/no pay bidders and bidders with the same excuses for not paying for their items because of a blown engine, sudden unexpected bills, medical emergencies and a variety of other excuses. While we empathize with the situations if indeed, they are true, this is not fair to the second-place bidders as well as our consignors, so we are cracking down. If there is any reason that could keep you from paying for your items, then please do not bid. We will pursue all collection remedies possible.
