Payment: The default credit card on file with your account will be charged 9:00 am the day following the close of the auction. If your payment is declined for any reason, you will not be able to pick up your items without paying. Invoices over $2,000 are not able to be paid by the credit card you have on file. You will need to pay with cash, wire, or a cashier’s check. If you, as the winning bidder (Buyer), do not provide sufficient funds or fail to retrieve your item(s) within the scheduled pick-up times, you may incur fees. Multiple instances of not paying or retrieving your items will result in a permanent block from the Equip-Bid site.
Tax-Exempt Purchases: Tax-exempt forms must be provided to each independent affiliate—tax-exempt statuses are not stored with your Equip-Bid account. If this is your first tax-exempt purchase with Ace Auctions, contact us at 913-608-4064 TWO DAYS PRIOR TO AUCTION CLOSE or the card on file will be charged. After providing tax-exempt forms to this affiliate, contact us to remove tax from each invoice and we will adjust your invoice before processing your payment.
Factory Sealed: New, in-box, never-used, original product in original box. We stand behind the listing as described. Because we strive to inspect all items, if we open a box and the contents appear factory sealed, we will label it as such. Being "new," we have not checked for function/internal damage. You may inspect/test before you leave; otherwise, there is a 48-hour return policy.
Appears New: Item appears to be in new condition, not used. They may or may not be in the original box. They should work as expected. We inspect for the following: Does not appear to have been pre-owned. Box may be damaged; however, MAJOR components/pieces are intact and functional. We cannot guarantee all screws/bolts are in the box, but we will do our best to note if we don't see them. Hardware such as screws and bolts are generally available online or at a hardware store. You may test your item before you leave. If it does not work, you may return it for a full refund; otherwise, there is a 48-hour return policy.
Open Box: Open Box represents several conditions, such as incomplete, pre-owned, new but not verified for condition, untested, could be fully functioning, or dead-on arrival (DOA). We have not tested these items. As always, we will continue to do our best to describe what we see. Please use inspection time to preview and test open box items before you bid. Open Box items may not be returned; they are sold as-is.
Damaged: These items have known damage. We will do our best to describe/picture the damage. We don't test for functionality. These could be items never used/owned, such as a grill that had shipping damage to the lid but that was never put together or used. This could indicate a scratch or a dent, or the item could be totally broken. We encourage you to preview damaged items during our inspection hours. Damaged items cannot be returned; they are sold as-is.
Partial or Incomplete: These items represent merchandise that is shipped in multiple boxes. For example, a bed may ship in 3 separate boxes. Box 1 may contain the headboard, box 2 may contain the side rails, and box 3 may contain the footboard and slats. In order for the bed to have all its parts and be complete, it needs all three boxes. Sometimes we only receive Box 1, or maybe only Box 3, or even Box 1 & 3; when this happens, we will categorize the item as Partial or Incomplete. If we know how many boxes it takes to complete the item, we will also put Box ___ of ___. In this example, it will look like: Partial: Box 1 of 3. Additionally, under "Additional Details," we will categorize the condition of the contents in that box. Partial or Incomplete cannot be returned; they are sold as-is.
Removal: Once a bidder has paid for and picked up their items, the items become the property of the winning bidder (buyer). The buyer assumes all risk of loss and damage to property from that point forward, including at the premises of the sale. It is the bidder’s responsibility to ensure that you have all of your items before you leave the property. We cannot guarantee anything once you leave. Please come PREPARED to pick up your item(s). This means knowing your bidder ID, having a large enough vehicle / proper equipment, and parking with courtesy. Be cognizant of the size and/or quantity of items you are picking up and BRING A HELPER if you have accumulated multiple invoices or have a large/heavy item. If you do not come prepared and need assistance from our staff, you are charged an assistance fee. The assistance fee is as follows: Flat Rate: $20.00 If assistance from our staff is needed, we are not liable for any damage to the item(s) or the vehicle used. No refunds will be given if an item(s) is damaged during an assisted load-out. - HAVE A COPY OF YOUR PRINTED OR DIGITAL INVOICE. You may be turned away without proof of purchase in the form of printed or digital invoice.
PLEASE KNOW YOUR BIDDER ID. - No appointment needed for pick up The last day to collect your auction items is listed in the auction title on each invoice. Ace Auctions WILL NOT require that you schedule a pickup timeslot before arrival. Simply show up during our open hours like usual. If you DO reach out for a hold, you can pick up your item the following week and there will be a $5 hold fee due at pickup. If you DO NOT reach out, your item(s) may be auto-held for an additional week for a $5 hold fee due at pickup. No refunds are given to forfeited items. It is the bidder’s responsibility to ensure that you have all of your items before you leave the property. We cannot guarantee anything once you leave.
Liability: Ace Auctions' liability shall be limited to the refund of the bidder's purchase price. We have a 48-hour return policy on all Appears New and Factory Sealed items except in cases of buyer's remorse. Just contact us within 48 hours from pickup and return item within 3 business days to claim a full refund.
Refunds: If you receive a "Factory Sealed" item that is damaged, does not work, and it was not listed as such in the description, you are eligible to apply for a refund. Photos are considered part of the item description. All refund requests must be submitted within 48 hours of picking up the item(s). If your request is approved, the item(s) must be returned WITHIN 2 business days (unless we have discussed and agreed otherwise) after the refund request was approved BEFORE a refund is issued. If you are returning an “Appears New” or “Factory Sealed” item, it must be returned BOXED in “Appears New” condition or we may charge a 20% restocking fee. Otherwise, no refund will be given as no warranty is expressed or implied. Please note that refunds are processed as soon as they are received but take 4-12 business days to process and return the money to your account. Refunds: If you receive an item that is damaged, does not work, or is missing pieces and it was not listed as such in the description, you are eligible to apply for a refund. Otherwise, no refunds will be given as there is no expressed or implied warranty of items. This is an online-only auction bound by all legal rights and remedies in the state in which the auction occurs. Please have exact change if paying on site both for invoices AND late pick up fees. We CANNOT accept credit/debit cards or Venmo/Zelle/Similar payment transfer apps on items sold through EquipBid website.
We cannot guarantee we will be here outside of posted removal hours (with the exception of any listed inspection times) for each auction. As such, there will be a $20 fee for picking up items between when an auction closes and when the removal period begins.
Example: An auction closes on Sunday and Thursday and Friday are listed for pick up – if you come Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday and we are here and you wish to pick something up the $20 will apply.
If unable to pick up items during listed hours, we will hold them until next auction pickup ONLY. There will be a $5 fee for each invoice up to $100 and $10 fee for each invoice above $100.
