The title and the above paragraph is what you’re bidding on and included in this auction lot. Many of the parts shown in these photos are being sold in other lots. Double check to see if the pieces still bolted on have an individual auction lot. I’ve had this dragster for over a year and tried to sell it in many ways, but with no luck. I did sell the front tires and wheels off last October and now I need the room at the Man Cave so, I’m putting this into pieces and going to sell it that way. The only issue is it’s still all assembled and you’ll have to bring your own tools to take off what you won (I have a few tools here at the cave) but to make it easier for the disassembly it will help if you have your own. I’ll let you take your won components off on Wednesday night but no problem if you want to do it Saturday or Sunday afternoon. I’ll meet you at the cave and help you as long as it takes to remove your won components off this dragster. Now obviously the bid winner of the chassis and body pieces will have to respect the other winners and he gets to take his home after all other pieces he didn’t win are removed.
Here was my listing when I was trying to sell it as a rolling chassis. It started as a 160" wheelbase RED rear engine dragster chassis with Goodyears and Centerlines at the "Cave". Wild and definitely unique is this professional built dragster. Here's the deal the claim is it actually ran 8.50's @ 160 MPH with a very exotic Turbo charged 2.0 inline Ford/ Pinto 4 cylinder engine. The engine and Doug Nash 5 speed transmission is being sold separate. Every time I take a good look at this car, I see first class engineering and fabrication on every part. It measures approximately 160” wheelbase and is about 200 inches overall length. With the 5 speed used a hydraulic clutch master cylinder and pedal was installed and still in the car. Very nice wiring with all components harnessed like the MSD 6A, MSD 8950 RPM activation switch, and Holley big Blue electric fuel pump. Loaded up with the large 2-5/8” diameter race Stewart Warner and Autometer gauges. A few notable pieces included and read to race is 3-5 gallon aluminum behind the seat fuel cell, lightweight aluminum radiator, B&M built in cooling fan, 9” N case Ford rear end inside the totally fabricated steel housing, Stiletto rack & pinion steering, Strange billet steel spindles, differential spool and axle package. Mark Williams butterfly steering wheel with quick release of exit or entry. Wilwood disc brake hats and rotors with the dual puck calipers. 15X8” Centerline Auto Drag wheels and Goodyear drag tires on the rear, Plexiglas built in windshield in the body cowl. The chassis will fit a driver with 18-1/2” shoulder spread and the frame rails all the way back are on 18-1/2” centers. The neat adjustable motor/ motor plate mounts go forward or backward. It’s been several decades since I bracket raced, but this has winner written all over it with a mild S/B block and Powerglide. The driver sits in a great position to monitor the competition and do what is needed to stay out front.
