Antiques and Collectibles > Collectible

Auction Details:

This online estate sale auction by the family includes many high quality items previously owned by a local pharmacist who travelled the world.  Or, as Dr. Seuss exclaimed ... Oh, the Places You’ll Go!

He was a Kansas University graduate, and a retired KUMC pharmacist who enjoyed traveling ... primarily in the southwest, west coast national parks and Hawaii ... so he also collected many items having the Jayhawk spirit, as well as many unusual items while travelling.

Items are located on the 2nd floor of an apartment unit, so High Bidders will need to bring extra help in loading any heavy or bulky item.  The exact apartment location will be included on your invoice.

Shipping is not available for this auction by the Seller, 1-2 Another or Equip-Bid. However, you may contact someone in the local area to pick up, and then take the item to you.  Or, have someone pick up your items and take them to a UPS store to have your items shipped to you.  We know one local individual who arranges pickups and local deliveries when you are not able to do this for yourself.  His contact information is  Ron Kane  913-558-6187.  His charges will not be included on your invoice for the purchase of your items, and must be paid separately on the terms and conditions you have agreed upon with this vendor.

If you are the High Bidder, and have not already done so, we will charge the credit card you have on file within 12 hours of the end of the auction.  Due to the Covid-19 rules with Equip-Bid, and the gated community restrictions,  you MUST call to schedule a time to pick up your items during the planned loadout time and date. Loadout appointments are made using your Dashboard at Equip-Bid.com. If you fail to loadout your items during scheduled loadout time of this auction, you will either forfeit the item, or pay a $5.00 per Lot special coordinated pick up cash fee at the time of eventual pickup.

All Lots are located on the 2nd floor of an apartment building.  Therefore, always plan on bringing additional labor at the loadout if you have heavy or bulky items to load.  Also, parking is limited to a cul-de-sac area immediately South of the entrance to the apartment building.  Do Not park in front of the entrance area to any apartment building, even for a very short time period, as this would be a violation of the apartment rules, and your vehicle would be subject to towing.

REMOVAL:

Once an auction has ended, the items become the property of the winning bidder (buyer). Buyer assumes all risk of loss and damage to property from that point forward including at the premises of the sale. The removal date and time will be posted on the terms for each individual auction, and each High Bidder must schedule a time to loadout his/her items. REMOVAL TIMES ARE ABSOLUTE.  €”IF YOU CAN NOT REMOVE YOUR ITEMS DURING SCHEDULED PICK-UP TIMES, DO NOT BID or alternatively, MAKE PRIOR PICKUP ARRANGEMENTS IN ADVANCE OF BIDDING!  Unless otherwise agreed to in advance, items remaining at the sale location after the final loadout time designated will be considered abandoned. Ownership of item will then revert to party with primary vested interest in the item to sell or dispose of item as it sees fit. Any funds paid shall be forfeited to satisfy terms of sale. Premiums and fees remain applicable.

DYNAMIC/STAGGERED CLOSING:

Auctions at www.equip-bid.com will close at a rate of three (3) items per minute. If a bid is made within the last 3 minutes, the closing time for that item will be extended for five (5) minutes in order to imitate a live auction as closely as possible.

In the event an item is not available for pick-up, the buyer must notify our onsite staff and file a claim within 24 hours of the pick-up date by replying to your original emailed invoice noting which items were not available for pick-up. After 24 hours past pick-up, 1-2 Another, Equip-Bid and the buyer agree that no adjustments or refunds will be made.

CAUTION TO THE BIDDER:

For demonstration purposes, various pieces of equipment or merchandise may be joined together. Do not assume a lot consists of more than one item simply because they are connected together. You are bidding on the item as it is described and not necessarily for all the items featured in the photo. 1-2 Another and Equip-Bid makes an effort to ensure the descriptions are accurate and the photos match as well. However, an error can occur in the listing and in that case it will be the description and not the photo that will be the item won. If you feel there is a discrepancy or error between a listing and a photo, contact 1-2 Another or Equip-Bid for clarification and notification of error.

WARRANTY & CONDITIONS OF ITEMS SOLD:

All items are sold AS IS, WHERE IS, with NO WARRANTY expressed or implied by the lot number affixed to the item. This sale is to the business community as equipment and inventory without any implied or expressed warranty. Descriptions are believed to be accurate but not guaranteed. When not certain of the condition or use of an item, please utilize any posted review date time permitted prior to the conclusion of the sale, and bid accordingly.

CHOOSE WISELY:

We want everyone to get a good deal, and most will. However, when you bid on the wrong item or decide an item is not suited for your intended use, our clients are not willing to assume the cost of your mistake. Once bidding ends, the item is contractually sold to the highest bidder and that item is the buyers property. When in doubt about condition, completeness or suitability for intended use, please bid accordingly. Equip-Bid reserves the right to add or remove items from an auction, split or combine lots, add minimum bids or reserve prices, cancel, suspend, extend or reschedule an item and/or auction event, and make changes to the auction closing, inspection, or removal times. Any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to this contract and/or agreement, or breach thereof, shall be settled by arbitration in accordance with the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association, and judgments upon the award rendered by the arbitrator(s) may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof.
