PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING
By placing a bid, bidder acknowledges and agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
5 DAYS TO PAY • 10 DAYS TO PICK UP • 30 DAYS = ABANDONED
Bidding takes place on Equip-Bid.com.
Dollar Bid is the local auction affiliate providing services including inventory processing, lot preparation/listing, inspection, payment assistance, storage, pickup, and load-out.
Dollar Bid does not own the merchandise offered in this auction. Merchandise is offered for sale on consignment through the Equip-Bid.com auction platform.
All bids are a commitment to purchase.
Items are sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS, with no warranties or guarantees. Buyers are strongly encouraged to inspect items before bidding.
Dollar Bid strives to provide accurate descriptions and photographs; however, minor errors or differences do not automatically void a sale.
Materially misdescribed means the item is fundamentally different from what was advertised—for example, listing a forklift but delivering a lawn mower—not a minor difference in condition, specifications, measurements, color, appearance, or other non-material details.
If a bidder believes an item has been materially misdescribed, the issue should be reported to Dollar Bid before the item is removed whenever reasonably discoverable at pickup so the issue can be reviewed.
Buyer’s remorse, failure to inspect, normal wear, cosmetic condition, or dissatisfaction with an AS-IS item are not grounds for cancellation or refund.
Dollar Bid reserves the right to correct listing errors, update lot information, or withdraw a lot when necessary, subject to Equip-Bid policies.
Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM–4:00 PM
Saturday: By appointment
It is the bidder’s responsibility to inspect and verify items before bidding.
Equipment may require inspection, maintenance, or servicing before use. Fluid and lubricant levels or condition are not guaranteed.
Buyers are responsible for inspecting and servicing all required fluids and lubrication before starting, loading, transporting, or operating equipment. Damage resulting from failure to inspect or service equipment is the buyer’s responsibility.
Payment is due within 5 calendar days of auction close.
$2,000 or less: Credit card accepted.
Over $2,000: Cash, cashier’s check, or wire transfer.
No personal checks.
Cashier’s checks payable to: Dollar Bid
If a bidder intends to pay onsite when picking up after the 5-day payment deadline, an extension must be requested by email before the payment deadline and approved by Dollar Bid by email.
If payment has not been made and no payment extension has been approved by the end of Day 5, Dollar Bid may charge the bidder’s payment method on file.
Whenever these terms require an extension, exception, or other written approval, the request must be made by email to:
sean@bestdealintown.com
Sending an email does not constitute approval. The bidder must receive an email response from Dollar Bid confirming the arrangement.
Phone calls, text messages, platform messages, and verbal conversations do not constitute written approval.
The standard pickup period is 10 calendar days from auction close.
Monday after the auction: Bidders with 2 items or fewer may pick up from 9:00 AM–4:00 PM, first come, first served, without an appointment.
All other pickups require an appointment scheduled through the Manage Invoice option on the bidder’s invoice.
Pickup after the 10-day period requires prior email approval from Dollar Bid. Large or specialty items may require special arrangements.
Buyers must arrive with the appropriate vehicle, trailer, and equipment.
Forklift and load-out assistance is provided as a courtesy. Buyer is responsible for securing the load. Dollar Bid may refuse unsafe trailers, vehicles, or loading situations.
Buyer assumes responsibility for the item once load-out begins, including damage resulting from loading, securing, or transportation.
Third-party pickup is permitted with a copy of the paid invoice and bidder information. Dollar Bid may require additional verification before releasing merchandise.
Any item remaining in Dollar Bid’s possession 30 calendar days after auction close is considered abandoned unless Dollar Bid has expressly approved an extension by email.
Sending an extension request alone does not prevent abandonment. The bidder must receive an email response approving the extension.
Abandoned items are forfeited without refund and may be resold, disposed of, or otherwise removed at Dollar Bid’s discretion, subject to applicable law.
All invoices are initially generated with applicable sales tax.
Tax-exempt bidders must request exemption after each auction and provide a valid exemption certificate corresponding with the bidder of record, even if a certificate has previously been submitted. Email exemption requests to sean@bestdealintown.com and include the bidder’s last name and bidder number.
Dollar Bid does not provide shipping or freight services. Independent hauler contacts may be provided as a convenience.
All invoices must be paid in full before merchandise can be released for shipping.
Buyer is responsible for all freight costs and risks. Dollar Bid is not responsible for the acts, services, damages, delays, or other issues involving independent transportation providers.
